Session outline
Throughout Bromley we are lucky to have large green space and now you have the opportunity to explore these parks after dark with our educational instructors to discover the wonderful world of bats!
We are surveying eight different sites this year which have a range of habitats from pond, meadows and woodlands, there is potential to see our smallest like the pipistrelles up to our largest the daubentons!
The evening walk and talk will start with experienced surveyors, speaking about the different bat species that live in the gardens, their behaviours, habitat requirements and see what our parks have to offer.
Using electronic detectors, we will try to pick up the ultrasonic calls of hunting bats as we walk. You will also learn about other animal species, birds and insects that thrive within our parks.

10th of September Whitehall 19:30-21:00
This walk is a friends walk and the funds need to be given in cash to group,
Meeting point is southlands road, parking available along the roads but can be limited.
11th of September Goddington Park 19:30-21:00

Booking is essential to ensure we have enough equipment for all participants.
Due to the late timings of these walks we request all attendees are aged five years and above and are supervised by their accompanying adult throughout.
No dogs allowed as these sites can be home to sensitive species.
Additional Information;
This event takes place outside in the woodlands around High Elms Country Park, please meet us at the main car park and ensure you leave plenty of time to get to us as you will not be able to find us easily within the woods if you are late.
If the weather is strong winds or heavy rain the bats will not be active and the walk will need to be cancelled. Therefore we will try to move your tickets to a different session or refund.
