Sink your claws into our exciting new kids club about all things palaeontology! Hold real fossils, dig up bones and learn about prehistoric life.

Description

Welcome to Junior Palaeontologists! Join our expert Geologist Instructor each week to discover fossils, dig up dinosaurs, and learn all about prehistoric life and the rocks beneath our feet!

Children will become Palaeontologists for the afternoon, through a range of hands-on workshops and outdoor activities. Each session will explore a different geological topic, giving children the opportunity to handle real fossils, investigate prehistoric clues and discover how scientists use the natural world to piece together the story of life on earth. Children will receive their own palaeontologist’s field notebook, adding to it each week as they learn new skills and make discoveries.

As activities may involve writing, careful handling of specimens, and listening during demonstrations, accompaniment by an adult throughout the session is required.
