Our Woodlands Explorers group welcomes children from the ages of 18m to 5yrs to take part in our fun outdoor sessions. They are aimed at developing skills and resilience, testing boundaries and deepening understanding of the natural world.

Session date and times
Tuesday – 10:00-11:30
The session is an hour and a quarter’s worth of instructor led activity, followed by quarter of an hour wind down time in the centre with juice and a biscuit, or a hot drink for the adults.
Woodland explorers runs weekly all year round! (we may have to postpone the odd weekly session due to large school or community groups but we will know these dates in advanced)
PLEASE MEET IN THE DARWIN ROOM (B.E.E.C.H.E centre) 5 minutes before the start time, ready to leave. We ask you to be considerate to other participants and aim to arrive as promptly as possible.
To get to the BEECHE centre from the main car park follow the path, across the cross-road and up the slope to the Green Rood Cafe’ to bear right around the back of the building. The Darwin room is the second set of doors along the boardwalk.
Session Price
£5.50 per child
For access to toilet facilities, please use the public toilets available at High Elms before the session and our centre toilets will be available after the session.
All equipment will be provided, as well as hand sanitiser and disinfecting wipes.

Directions and Parking
This event takes place in High Elms Country Park. The main car park is located on High Elms Road (near Shire Lane). You can follow the Brown Highway signs for High Elms Country Park.
Blue badge parking is available in front of the BEECHE building. To access this please access the park using the entrance off Shire Lane which is marked for deliveries and staff. At the cross roads turn left up the slope and you will see the BEECHE building at the top of the slope. Please be aware this entrance and car park is only for Blue Badge holders.
What to wear and other information
The session will take place outside so please dress appropriately. Please wear boots, trainers or wellies (no ballet pumps).
The session will involve some walking, we will be sticking to paths that are suitable for buggies.
