The course is challenging and hilly\, but very scenic to make up for it. \nFaster runners should expect to add at least 5 minutes to their PB times\, whilst slower runners will be delighted with the value for money of running a 90 minute 10k. \nThe race is a challenging single lap multi-terrain course through the Nature Trails of High Elms and some of Kent’s beautiful countryside.

Cash or card accepted.\n\nEaster Fair\nFood and craft stalls from local businesses. \n\nIce Cream Van\nBurgers\nCoffee\nHook-a-duck\nBallons\nFace Painting\nKids Funfair\n\n(Subject to change) \n\nTransport\nThe nearest train stations are Clock House (11 minutes walk)\, Beckenham Junction (15 minutes walk) and bus services to Beckenham include the 54\, 194\, 227\, 353\, 354\, 358\, 367 \nThere is covered bike parking in the car park of the Beckenham Beacon \nThere is pay and display parking in the Village Way multi-storey. Local streets have resident permit parking at different times during the day. \nAccessibility\nAccessible entrance: the flat entrance recommended for wheelchairs is Croydon Road but the whole park has hard paths. The event starts and finishes on grass but we will do our best to accommodate people with mobility issues. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 17 September 2022\, join #TeamKings as we chart a lush 18-mile course through some of southeast London’s prettiest parks and wildest woods. Open to all ages\, you could even just join us for the home stretch – the fun-filled Little Hospital Hike is only 3 miles long and ideal for children. \nRegistration: £15 (£5 for NHS staff) with a sponsorship minimum of £150. \n  \nThere are three routes to choose from:\nThe Great Hospital Hike: a scenic 18-mile trail\nWalk at your own pace through parks and forests and discover the hidden gems tucked away in our urban landscape. Highlights include the Sunken Gardens at the Horniman Museum\, the tranquil ponds in Sydenham Wells Park\, and the ancient oaks in Stumpshill Wood. \n  \nThe Little Hospital Hike: a 3-mile family-friendly route\nJoin the walkers at the 14-mile mark in Hayes and follow the scenic off-road footpaths and forest trails through Mazzards Wood\, Padmall Wood and Farnborough countryside to the finish line near the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley \n  \n\n\n\n\nThe Virtual Hospital Hike: choose your own route\nIt does not matter where you are in the world\, you can take part in the Great Hospital Hike virtually and walk any 18-mile or 3-mile route of your choice. \n\nWhichever hike you choose\, every step you take will be a step with friends\, a step into your local community\, and a step forward for our hospitals. So\, put on your walking shoes #TeamKings and let’s go the extra mile! \nEach hiker will receive: \n\nA Great Hospital Hike 2022 t-shirt and walker’s bib\nA fundraising pack full of tips\, ideas and resources\nOngoing support and advice from our dedicated Events Team\nAn amazing support team and cheer squads on the day\nRefreshments and entertainment en route\nA finisher’s medal as a unique memento of your incredible achievement
