CROWNING OF MAY QUEENS HAYES
April 21, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
FreeThis is an annual event, usually taking place in April each year. From 1.45 p.m. the May Queen Realms, along with their marshals, families, friends and local residents gather in the Hayes Library Gardens for the crowning of the May Queens.
The ceremonies take place one after the other and altogether take approximately 30 minutes. A marching band and Police officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Teams also meet in the gardens ready to begin a parade through Hayes starting from the Library gardens. This is a brief annual event that takes place in the Library Gardens prior to the main parade through Hayes. A lovely community event enjoyed by many local residents.
